Tami, our Center Director, was born in Phoenix, AZ, but lived in Price, UT for several years before she and her family moved to St. George in 2005. She attended the College of Eastern Utah before marrying her high school sweetheart, Jeff, in 1987. Together they have three daughters and three grandchildren. Tami enjoys sewing, knitting, crafting, and spending time with family. Her take on the best thing about being employed at Hope PCC is this: “The best thing is to be surrounded by others who are unified in serving God, each other and the clients; in purpose, sharing the unconditional love of Christ and in offering the Word of truth. There is such a sweet and encouraging atmosphere that comes from unity in Christ.” Her three words to describe this ministry? Compassion, Hope, & Healing
Jennie, our Office Manager, was born in Lewistown, Montana, moving to St. George in 1980. She and her husband, David, have been married since 2001 and have two beautiful kids. She and her family love spending time together watching movies, playing games and hiking our gorgeous surroundings. Jennie graduated from Dixie State University with a degree in Office Admin & Marketing. When asked about her job, she states: “I love every part of my job but especially the ability to see God’s hand move in the hearts and lives of both clients and staff, it’s amazing.” The words she would use to describe Hope PCC: Love, Faith, Compassion.
Tina is the Client Services Director at Hope PCC. She was born in Corona, California then moved around a bit before landing in Saint George in December of 2014. Tina’s favorite pastimes are enjoying family outings such as hiking and walking. She’s an avid reader, movie goer, and has fun playing solitaire. Tina and her husband, Josh, have been married since 2000 and have two beautiful children, Alex and Lucas. She is now patiently awaiting the joy of grandchildren. Tina has an extensive academic background that includes three separate higher education institutions with a final Master’s degree in Education. In her own words her favorite part of being employed at Hope PCC is: “Being able to be in an environment where I can say the name of Jesus and not fear that I will lose my job.” When asked what words she would use to describe the ministry of Hope PCC she said; “Love, Joy, Peace, and one more -Freedom.”
Cassidee, our SRA (Sexual Risk Avoidance) Education Coordinator, is new to Hope PCC. She was born in Fort Collins, CO but has lived in Southern Utah since she was 2 years old. Cassidee enjoys reading, playing with her “fur-babies,” and watching a good movie with her hubby in her spare time. She has been married to Brayden DeVeau for 2 1/2 years. Cassidee studied Biblical studies & women’s ministries at Frontier School of the Bible. She believes the best thing about working at Hope PCC is “enjoying fellowship with like-minded believers.” Her three words to describe Hope are: sweet, loving & compassionate.
Shannon Gerber is currently our Events Coordinator but has worn many hats in the ministry. Shannon is originally from Boulder City, Nevada but has been a resident of St. George since 2005. Diving into a great book is her favorite “me” time activity. Her family however, is her number one priority and she loves spending time with them. She particularly enjoys being outside with them in our beautiful Southern Utah where she can appreciate God’s creation. Shannon and her husband, Trevor, have been married since 1998 and have two kids; Maya & Isaac. Shannon completed her graduate work in Chemistry before becoming a teacher for a period of time. She shared what she likes best about working at Hope PCC: “I’m absolutely blessed to work with ladies I love and admire for a cause that is so near to God’s heart.” When asked what words she would choose to describe our ministry she said “Compassion, Truth, and Courage.”
Lorene Slyter serves at Hope PCC as our Clients Services Receptionist. Lorene grew up on a ranch in Midwest Idaho but has lived in the St. George area since 1991. As with many Southern Utahns, Lorene enjoys hiking and exploring our beautiful surroundings. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and using her creativity whenever possible. Lorene has been married to Pastor Dan of Southland Bible since 1979 and together they have two beautiful children and four precious grandchildren. She states about working at HPCC “it’s a blessing to work with lovely women who love the Lord and serve Him wholeheartedly.” The three words she uses to describe Hope PCC are compassion, hope, and love.
Hannah Campbell is our SRA (Sexual Risk Avoidance) Education Assistant. She is originally from Price, Utah but has lived in St. George for about 15 years. Her favorite past times are watching movies, exploring the outdoors, playing guitar, spending time with friends and learning to skateboard. Hannah is currently attending technical school for digital media design. She enjoys getting behind a camera and creating things on the computer. Her favorite thing about working at Hope PCC is “knowing our work has a purpose. I am thankful to be in an environment that is so focused on serving and following God.” The three words she would use to describe Hope PCC: Love in action (1 John 3:18).
